FAQS

What can I expect when getting started?

We’ll begin with a complimentary 15–20 minute phone or video call so we can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and whether it feels like a good fit to work together.

If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule a 60–90 minute intake session. This is a chance to explore more deeply—what’s been going on, your goals, and any background you’d like to share that feels important.

Over the first few sessions (typically within the first 1–4), we’ll collaborate on a treatment plan that’s tailored to you—one that supports symptom relief while helping you move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values and hopes.

How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?

Standard sessions are 45–60 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though frequency can be adjusted based on your needs, goals, and schedule.

How long will I be in therapy?

The length of therapy varies for everyone. Some people come for support with a specific issue, while others may stay longer for deeper work. Many clients begin noticing improvement within 3–6 months, but we’ll check in regularly about how things are going and what feels right for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

Yes. We offer both teletherapy and in-person sessions in the Tysons and Vienna, VA, area. We can talk about what feels most accessible and comfortable for you.
